Quality Manager

Primary Responsibilities

Customer Responsibilities:

Set Quality Goals and Objectives and develop action plans to continuously improve customer satisfaction.

Summarize and report out on Quality performance to executive Management.

Capture regulatory requirements and develop processes and procedures to ensure conformance.

Proactively access risks and implement preventative actions to prevent their occurrence.

Review the effectiveness checks for Corrective and Preventative Actions to ensure the appropriate degree of objective evidence has been provided.

Regulatory Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Maintain and improve company quality documentation, such as quality manual and procedures manual.
  • Guarantee that all documentation is kept up-to-date and accurately reflects our business.
  • Work with all departments and integrate updates in a timely manner.

Production Responsibilities: 

With the cooperation of Operations Management, work to develop process controls capable of achieving high yield and low out of box failures.

Provide the Production team with the Quality resources necessary to ensure consistent outgoing product quality.

Work with Operations Management to consistently implement and improve best practices. (I.e. Lean Six Sigma methodologies)

Supplier Chain Responsibilities:

Define Metrics and implement measurement systems in order to demonstrate performance and create accountability for Supplier Quality throughout the JADAK organization.

Develop processes and procedures for the selection and evaluation of JADAK Suppliers.

Ensure the appropriate resources are allocated and responsible to sustaining those processes.

Ensure that suppliers are consistently provided with feedback regarding their performance via monthly reports, supplier score cards, and Vendor Corrective Actions.

Review the effectiveness checks for VCAR’s to ensure the appropriate degree of objective evidence has been provided.

Product Realization Responsibilities:

Identify, budget and staff the resources necessary to support the development process with respect to the Quality organization.

Work with Engineering Management team to ensure the processes and procedures needed to develop high quality products exist

Ensure conformance to those processes and procedures via the JADAK internal audit and correct action procedures.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Organize staff, manage, and improve a Quality Organization capable of ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction at the lowest internal costs.

Mentor and coach Quality personnel to continuously improve their skills and abilities.

Create accountability throughout the organization via the use of data collection and analysis.

Liaise with other Managers and staff members to ensure that the Quality System is functioning properly and that best practices are continuously being adopted and used throughout the organization.

Advise on changes to the QMS and their implementation, and when necessary, develop and provide training to JADAK personnel.

 

Authorities:

ISO9001:2008 Internal Auditor

Corrective Action Coordinator

Authorized to communicate to customers on Behalf of JADAK Quality Organization.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years experience in Organizational Leadership.

Understanding of quality terminology and Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt Certification preferred.

Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with all levels of the organization.

Must operate with high moral character and integrity at all times.

Must lead from the front and pull the organization forward.

This is a hands on leadership position.

Must be able to develop and maintain relationships with managers and direct      reports based on trust and mutual respect.

Bachelors in Engineering Preferred.

Reliability engineering experience preferred.
