Associate Systems Engineer


An Associate System Engineer (ASE) is technical leader who ensures that the customer’s needs are satisfied throughout a system’s entire life cycle. The ASE is responsible work with the lead System Engineer to influence the technical direction of the project, along with working with the Program Manager to ensure customer expectations are managed and met.  The individual must work cross-functionally with the engineering and operations teams to help develop requirements, analyze program risk, and develop the qualification and engineering validation strategy to ensure customer requirements are met.



  • Primary responsibility is to serve as the technical contributor on the project project by analysis of      customer needs and the delivery of a design capable of meeting the customer’s safety, functional, and performance requirements.
  • Instill Confidence in Program Manager and Lead Systems Engineer by executing engineering validation tests and interpreting these results to:
    • Asses Risk with Chosen Technology as it Relates to Fulfillment of Customer Requirements
    • Guide Technical Decisions and Direction on the Project
      • Prove Feasibility or Provide Evidence Chosen Approach and Design is Technically Sound
      • Provide Analysis to Choose Among Multiple Options When Required
    • Solicit Cross Functional Feedback and Develop Final Customer Specifications
  • Develop & Maintain Final Qualification Test Plans, with oversight from the Lead System Engineer
  • Provide Input to the DFMEA Analysis to asses risk with complex projects and designs
  • Support Test Engineering Group  to Execute Qualification Plans
  • Lead Design Reviews
  • Develop Fixture Validation Plan  for production to ensure long term conformance of the product throughout its lifecycle.




  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 1 to 3 Years Product Development or Test Experience
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Optical, Test, or Machine Vision Experience a Plus
