Marketing Manager

Primary Responsibilities

JADAK’s Marketing Manager will run the marketing organization at JADAK and will manage marketing resources to run various strategic marketing programs.  The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the management and review of marketing resources, and will ensure corporate visions are communicated and team building measures within the marketing group.

JADAK has been successful in developing a company brand.  As JADAK continues to grow it will be a key responsibility of the Marketing Manager to maintain and extend brand equity.  The Marketing Manager will coordinate marketing programs with the sales & business development groups collaborating with the Sales Manager and Business Development Manager.  The goal of this interaction is to determine the marketing plan required to help support the sales team and to grow overall business.  Tracking of marketing metrics will be done via lead generation, conversion rates, customer survey, PR and customer mentions.  The Marketing Manager will then be responsible for creating a course for action with measured results including schedule maintenance and program effectiveness.

The Marketing Manager will work to create strategic growth plans for the marketing group including:

(1)    Creating a growth and business plan for marketing by identifying, developing, and evaluating marketing strategy on a quarterly and yearly basis in support of yearly growth objectives as well as long-term / 5 year plans.

(2)    Evaluate the financial aspects such as budgets and expenditures for marketing

(3)    Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities

Staff currently includes:

–          Marketing communications person

–          Pre-Sales / Business Development person

–          Design Director

The Marketing manager will be responsible for all aspects of the Marketing / Business Goals:

1.  Be found    – The marketing manager will create and maintain marketing programs that ensure JADAK is found by new customers.  This includes:

  • Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities to promote products and services, working with advertising, SEO companies, PR firms etc…
  • Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.  Select products and accessories to be displayed at trade or special production shows.
  • Identifying strategies used by competitors and create countermeasures.  This will include both web strategies and product and corporate messaging provided to sales.

2.  Be known – The marketing manager will create and maintain marketing programs that ensure JADAK is known, i.e. “top of mind” with existing customers.

3.  Find them – The marketing manager will provide the sales and business development manager’s research on markets and will coordinate with sales any campaigns that need to utilize sales resources.  The marketing manager will create campaigns within marketing to find new business.

4.  Differentiate – The marketing manager will work with the Design Director to ensure continuity between marketing programs, products projects, etc.  The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for the budgetary and future planning of the Design resources.

5.  Leverage – The marketing manager will create strategic initiatives to sustain & extend  products, pplications, or markets that JADAK has had success in.

The Marketing Manager role will be responsible for ensuring that various tools are being utilized to their fullest to create and track demand generation.  This includes:

  • CRM
  • Website
  • Social Media
  • Email Campaigns
  • Tradeshows

Desired Skills and Experience

– 8+ years’ experience in technology or professional services marketing

– Proven success developing and executing integrated business-to-business marketing campaigns

– Ability to build strong relationships at all levels internally and externally

– Excellent communicator – well-spoken with excellent writing skills.

– Experience with Marketing Automation tools and CRM tools

– Experience with web strategies and/or tools

– Must be an independent self-starter with a sense of urgency and a strong desire to be part of building something new.

– Strong project management skills

– Positive attitude, leadership qualities, and flexible team-oriented approach to working with others.

– Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA a plus.
