ThingMagic Mercury Xpress Sensor Hub

The Mercury xPRESS Sensor Hub is the first extensible platform for rapidly developing low cost, high performance, application specific RFID finished readers and embedded solutions. Mercury xPRESS combines a microcontroller-based motherboard with the industry leading ThingMagic Mercury6e Series of UHF RFID modules and an integrated software development environment built on the ThingMagic Mercury API.

In order to bridge the communication gap that exists between the consumer world and the ID and sensing solutions of the enterprise world, devices and networks need to speak the same language. When the goal is seamless communication between an infinite number of devices and technologies, the only way to achieve it is through platforms outfitted with tools that automatically act as a translator. Enhancements to ThingMagic’s Mercury xPRESS Sensor Hub’s flexible development platform allows developers to bring up a fully functional RFID reader in minutes. The new support for network interfaces (PoE and Wi-Fi), as well as GPS, allows developers to easily access and deliver diverse sensor data, thus focusing on application functionality, fast deployment, and quick return on investment. The Mercury xPRESS Sensor Hub opens the lines of communications between devices and systems of all types that haven’t been interacting.
